MASON CITY - NIACC freshman guard Deundra Roberson was selected as the ICCAC men's basketball player of the week for the week of Jan. 21-27.
It is the third time this season that a NIACC men's basketball player has earned the league's player of the week award. Wendell Matthews earned the award for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 4 and Quentin Hardrict was the league's winner for the week of Dec. 3-9.
Roberson scored 21 points in the Trojans' win over Little Priest Tribal College and he scored a career-high 28 points in their win over Ellsworth.
Roberson is averaging 13.9 points per game and is one of four Trojans that averages in double figures.
No. 14 NIACC returns to action Thursday night at home against Iowa Lakes in an ICCAC contest. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. in the NIACC gym.
