Christian Minto begins his first season as an assistant coach with the NIACC men's wrestling team in the 2025-26 season.
Minto was a 2-time national champion in 2021 and 2022 at 165 pounds.
Minto, who had a career record of 51-1, is the Trojans' fourth 2-time national champion. Other 2-time national champions for the Trojans are Joe Hatchett (1970-71), Yoanse Mejias (2014-15) and Nosomy Pozo (2014-15).
In 2021, Minto topped Iowa Central's Keaton Geerts 13-6 in the 165-pound title match.
In 2022, Minto claimed a 14-5 major decision over Clackamas' Steele Starren.
Minto was 16-0 in the 2021-22 season and 13-0 in the 2021 season.
Minto's lone loss was in the 2020 165-pound national title match where he dropped a 6-4 decision to Iowa Western's Isaiah Crosby. Minto was 22-1 in the 2019-20 campaign.
Minto was a member of the University of Northern Iowa wrestling team from 2022-2024.
