NIACC stops AFLBS, 95-62

PLYMOUTH, Minn. - Court Christianson drained six 3-pointers and finished with 18 points to lead NIACC past the Association Free Lutheran Bible School Friday 95-62.

"He shoots the ball extremely well and I thought for the most part, our guys did a good job of finding him," NIACC coach Mark Mohl said. "He's a tremendous shooter who puts a lot of time in the gym and it's starting to pay off."

The six three-point goals is tied for ninth on the school's single-game 3-point list. Jason Kay connected on six 3-point goals in a game twice last season and Conor Lang hit six 3s in a game as well in the 2014-15 season.

Boy Van Vliet added 15 points, Matt Baker had 12 and James Wanjara finished with 11 to give the Trojans four players in double figures.

Also for NIACC, Wanjara had 15 rebounds and Trei Mitchell had five assists and five steals.

NIACC (9-4) is back in action Jan. 4 at home against the St. Mary's University-Winona JV.

Notes: Boy Van Vliet has 404 career points, 47 career 3-point goals, 130 career rebounds, 126 career assists and 71 career steals ... Trei Mitchell has 164 career points, 102 career assists, 88 career rebounds and 58 career steals ... Fischer has 151 career points and 110 career rebounds.
