NIACC men cruise to 117-73 victory

WINNEBAGO, Neb. - Boy Van Vliet and Luke Mascall-Wright each scored 18 points as six NIACC players reached double figures in a 117-73 rout of Little Priest Tribal College on Sunday.
The 117 points is tied for the most in the Mark Mohl era and the 19th time the Trojans have scored at least 100 points in the Mohl era. NIACC topped South Australia Institute of Sport 117-72 in the 2014-15 season. The 117 points is tied for the 16th most in a single game in NIACC men's basketball history.
James Wanjara (13), Kevaun McKenzie (11), Cordele Jackson (11) and George Ivens (10) also reached double figures for the Trojans (7-3), who have won three straight and play at the Briar Cliff JV on Monday.
"It was a great team win," NIACC assistant coach Kyle Cooper said. "It can be any guy leading us in scoring on any given night."
In addition to the six players in double figures, nine other players scored for the Trojans as Nasir Shabazz was next in line with eight points.
"I thought we did a great job moving the ball," Cooper said. "It was nice to see all 15 guys score."
