NIACC men stop Wartburg JV, 90-80

WAVERLY - NIACC pulled away from the Wartburg JV in the second half after trailing 42-40 at the break, picking up a 90-80 road victory on Sunday.
"I thought the boys come out and competed well on the road," NIACC assistant coach Kyle Cooper said.
Meanwhile, Trei Mitchell had nine points, Matt Baker had six points, James Wanjara had five points and George Ivens, Court Christianson and Kevaun McKenzie added two points apiece for NIACC.
"We had great balance and did a nice job sharing the basketball," Cooper said.
Notes: Van Vliet has 275 career points, 105 career rebounds, 98 career assists, 51 career steals and 32 career 3-point goals ... Mitchell has 61 career assists and 37 career steals.
