NIACC men fall to Southeastern, 81-67

WEST BURLINGTON - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped a 81-67 decision to Southeastern Thursday night in a nonconference contest.

Southeastern (4-0) led 38-22 at the half.

NIACC (2-1) was led by sophomore Boy Van Vliet, who scored 15 points with eight assists and seven rebounds.

Also for the Trojans, Lachlan Anthony scored 12 points, including four 3-point goals. Trei Mitchell and James Wanjara also both reached double figures with 10 points.

NIACC returns to action Sunday at the Wartburg College junior varsity.

Notes: Van Vliet has 258 career points, 101 career rebounds, 93 career assists, 49 career steals and 30 career 3-point goals ... Mitchell has 56 career assists and 33 career steals.
