NIACC men fall to Kirkwood, 83-65
CEDAR RAPIDS - No. 4 Kirkwood snapped No. 15 NIACC's 11-game winning streak with a 83-65 victory in an ICCAC men's basketball contest Saturday on the Kirkwood campus.
NIACC, which had not lost since November, was held to a sesason-low 65 points.
Kirkwood, which led 45-31 at the half, was led by Doug Wilson with 25 points. Connor Kasperbauer and Allanta Pickens both scored 11 points for the Eagles.
NIACC (12-3 overall, 3-1 in the ICCAC) was led by freshman guard James Harris with 11 points and seven rebounds. Wendell Matthews and Kyle Lang both scored nine points for the Trojans.
NIACC returns to action Sunday at the St. Ambrose University junior varsity.
