COUNCIL BLUFFS - The No. 15 (NJCAA Division II) NIACC softball team dropped a pair of games Saturday on the Iowa Western campus.
Indian Hills topped NIACC 14-4 in six innings and Iowa Western stopped the Trojans 8-0 in five innings.
In the game against Indian Hills, NIACC's Madisyn Bauer, Emily Jones and Izzy Sloan all collected two hits. Katy Olive scored two runs and stole a base.
Indian Hills scored three runs each in the first two innings, pushed across a single run in the fourth frame and broke the game open with seven runs in the sixth inning.
NIACC scored a single run in the first inning and plated three runs in the sixth inning.
Against Iowa Western, the Reivers scored two runs in the first and fourth innings and plated four runs in the third inning.
NIACC was held to two hits, singles from Emily Jones and Emily Rigdon.
NIACC (6-6) returns to action Friday and Saturday at the Midwest Juco Classic in Evansville, Ind.
