Iowa Western edges NIACC, 24-21
MASON CITY - The NIACC wrestling team dropped a 24-21 decision to No. 11 Iowa Western in an ICCAC dual meet Wednesday night in the NIACC gym.
NIACC (0-3 in duals) picked up wins from Mark Gonzales (125), Hunter Luke (141), Tony Mendoza (149) and Zach Santee (285). Gonzales (3-2), Luke (9-3) and Mendoza (8-4) all won by fall and Santee (5-6) won by decision.
NIACC returns to action Jan. 5 at at the Central College Invitational in Pella.
