MASON CITY - Nick Wurm scored a career-high 28 points to lead the NIACC men's basketball team to a 93-87 overtime victory over Bay College on Saturday in the final game of the Konigsmark Klassic.
The game was tied 76-76 at the end of regulation and the Trojans outscored the Norse 17-11 in the extra five-minute session to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Wurm, who also had four assists, three rebounds and two steals, tied the contest at 76 by making one of two free throws in the final seconds to force overtime.
Wurm's previous career high was 27 points against Iowa Central on Jan. 21, 2017.
NIACC's Jaycob Payne scored seven points and had 10 rebounds.
NIACC returns to action next Friday and Saturday at the Dale Howard Classic in Iowa Falls. The Trojans play Milwaukee Area Tech at 4 p.m. on Friday and face Harper College at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
