NIACC men place 11th at Augustana Twilight meet
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The NIACC men's cross country team placed 11th out of 20 teams in the college division at the Augustana College Twilight meet Friday night with 395 points.
Jacob Day led the Trojans with a 35th-place finish in 20 minutes, 33 seconds in the four-mile race. Next up for NIACC was Imad Amenzou, who was 39th in 20:39.
Also for the Trojans, Jose Aguilera was 127th in 21:55, Tyler Randall was 155th in 22:16, Lucas White was 172nd in 22:39, Nick Frenz was 179th in 22:44, John Enright was 235th in 24:22, Aaron Hardcastle was 238th in 24:40 and Alec Mulcahey was 263rd in 28:33.
NIACC's Zach Freund was 112th in 21:41, running unattached.
The NIACC women were 17th out of 20 teams with 470 points. Iowa Central was 9th with 306 points, Iowa Western was 14th with 406 points.
Jessica Blumberg was 42nd in 18:38 in the 3-mile race in 18:38. Kendra Schmidt was 106th (19:52), Alyssa Cowan was 117th (20:01), Lattie Crozier was 154th (20:59), Jordan Lane was 173rd (21;49), Taylor Glawe was 179th (22:05), Michaela Foster was 18th (22:14) and Emma Phipps was 209th (27:14).
Former NIACC all-American Hannah Palmeter, who is a junior at Southwest Minnesota State, was sixth in 17:11.
