NIACC women cruise past Ellsworth, 96-59
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's basketball team outscored Ellsworth 36-10 in the fourth quarter and cruised to a 96-59 victory Thursday night in an ICCAC contest.
Sophomore Morgan Cuffe led five Lady Trojans in double figures with 19 points. The Lady Trojans also received 15 points and eight rebounds from Khalilah Holloway, 13 points from Courtney Larson, 11 points from Cierra Stanciel and 10 points from Taylor Laabs.
Since dropping its league opener to DMACC, NIACC (11-8 overall) has won three straight league games over Iowa Lakes, Iowa Central and Ellsworth.
NIACC returns to action Saturday at Southeastern.
