Hanson leads Trojans at Griak Invite

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Freshman Hailey Hanson led the NIACC women's cross country team Friday in the Suzy Wilson Maroon Race at the University of Minnesota Griak Invitational.

Hanson placed 167th in a time of 27 minutes, 16 seconds in the 6-kilometer Division II-III race on the Les Bolstad Golf Course.

NIACC placed 24th with 712 team points.

Also for the Trojans Friday, sophomore Bridget Canton placed 199th in a time of 27:53, sophomore Olivia Spurling was 237th in a time of 30:03, freshman Jennifer Carranza was 263rd in 35:34 and freshman Zoey Dieckman was 264th (35:42).

NIACC returns to action on Oct. 10 at the Indian Hills Invitational in Ottumwa.
