NIACC's Milene earns ICCAC player of week honor
MASON CITY – NIACC sophomore outfielder Logan Milene was selected as the co-ICCAC Division II baseball player of the week for the week of Feb. 14-20.
Milene shared the award with Northeast CC's second baseman Taylor Gill.
Milene was 5 for 12 with five RBIs and four runs scored with two home runs and a double. He also scored three bases as the Trojans took two of three games in a season-opening series at Three Rivers CC.
Milene is the first Trojan to win the ICCAC weekly award since Thomas Gross was the league's pitcher of the week for the week of April 19-25, 2021.
NIACC (2-1) returns to action this weekend at the Babe Howard Juco Classic in Millington, Tenn. The Trojans play Frontier CC at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
