Trojans fall to Reivers, 13-10
MASON CITY - The NIACC baseball team dropped a 13-10 decision to Iowa Western Friday afternoon at Roosevelt Field in an ICCAC contest.
Iowa Western (27-16 overall, 15-6 in ICCAC) scored its 13 runs on 14 hits. The Reivers scored five runs in the ninth inning to take a 13-6 lead.
NIACC rallied in its last at-bat in the ninth inning for four runs, but came up two runs short.
NIACC collected 10 hits to score its 10 runs. The Trojans received two hits from George McIntyre, Lincoln Becker and Tommy Lyman.
In the ninth inning, NIACC's Hudson Waldow and Henry Mattox both drove in two runs with doubles.
NIACC (14-26, 7-14) and Iowa Western wrap up their 3-game series on Saturday with a doubleheader at Roosevelt Field. The first game is slated to start at noon.
