Steinwand, Nordquist lead NIACC men at Iowa Lakes Invite

OKOBOJI — Sam Steinwand and Joe Nordquist each carded sub-80 rounds Friday to help NIACC to fourth place at the Iowa Lakes Invitational.
Steinwand paced the Trojans with a 76 and Nordquist shot 79.
"I think Sam Steinwand and Joe Nordquist are very close to breaking through and Zach Nicholson has been right there every tournament," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said. "We just need to put it all together and get everyone in the 70s."
Nicholson carded an 81 for the Trojans and Brandon Nordman added an 83.
Iowa Lakes won the tournament with a 291.
For the women, NIACC's Savannah Lentz and Bailey Walter each shot rounds of 90 to tie for second place. Iowa Lake's Ashton Connelly was medalist with an 86.
