ROCHESTER, Minn. - The NIACC women's soccer team picked up a 5-0 victory over RCTC Wednesday night in a non-conference contest.
NIACC (2-2-2) received two goals and two assists from sophomore Emmalyse Bordignon. Freshman Addison Jones also scored two goals.
"It was a great win (Wednesday)," first-year NIACC coach Raphael Nascimento said. "The girls moved the ball well and we controlled the tempo."
Also for the Trojans, freshman Louise Valdal scored a goal and contributed an assist. Sophomore Noemi Nater and sophomore Maya Gildroy also had assists.
NIACC returns to action Sept. 20 in its ICCAC opener at Iowa Lakes. Match time in Spencer is slated for 1 p.m.
"We still have things to work on to get on the level we want to be as we know out competition starting next Saturday will be hard," Nascimento said. "Now, it's time to go back to work and focus on our conference."
