NIACC's Bordignon earns ICCAC player of week honor
MASON CITY - NIACC sophomore Emmalyse Bordignon was selected as the ICCAC Division II women's soccer player of the week for the week of Sept. 8-14.
Bordignon, a forward from Marion, scored two goals with two assists in the Trojans' 5-0 win over RCTC on Sept. 10.
Bordignon leads the Trojans (2-2-2) with four goals and four assists.
Bordignon is the first NIACC women's soccer player to earn the league's player of the week award since Karly Holm won the award for the week of Sept. 23-29, 2024.
Bordignon has 15 career goals and nine career assists. The 15 goals ranks second on NIACC's career goals scored list and the nine assists is tied for fourth on the school's career assist list.
NIACC opens ICCAC play Saturday at Iowa Lakes (3-3-1). Match time in Spencer is slated for 1 p.m.
