FORT DODGE - The NIACC women's soccer team dropped an 8-0 decision to Iowa Central Saturday afternoon in a first-round NJCAA Region 11 Division II tournament match on the Iowa Central campus.
Third-seed Iowa Central led 4-0 at the half and scored four more goals in the second half to advance to the regional tournament semifinals.
Iowa Central (11-5 overall) advances to play second-seed Northeast CC on Tuesday. Sixth-seed NIACC bows out with a record of 5-8-3.
Top-seed Iowa Lakes and fourth-seed Hawkeye CC meet in the other regional tournament semifinal on Tuesday. The regional title match is set for Nov. 1 at the site of the highest remaining seed.
