Trojans' Wiltshire wins two events at Chelsey M. Henkenius Invite
WAVERLY - NIACC's Romanica Wiltshire won two sprint events Saturday at Wartburg College's Chelsey M. Henkenius Indoor Invitational.
Wiltshire won the 60-meter dash in a school record time of 7.68 seconds, which qualified her for the NJCAA Division I indoor championships. Wiltshire also won the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.65.
In the 60-meter dash, Wiltshire broke the old school mark of 7.71 by Adrine Monagi at the Grinnell College Indoor Invitational on Feb. 7, 2015.
Wiltshire's time in the 200-meter dash (26.65) ranks third on the school's all-time indoor list.
Also in the 60-meter dash for the Trojans, Abby Chapman was second (7.97) and Addison Adam was third (8.06). Chapman's time of 7.97 ranks fourth on the school's all-time list and Adams' time of 8.06 ranks fifth on the school's all-time indoor list.
In the 800-meter run, NIACC sophomore Bridget Canton placed second in a career-best time of 2:39.91.
In the long jump, the Trojans' Kiara Colton-Spearman placed seventh with a jump of 4.54 meters (14 feet, 10 3/4 inches).
