Trojans' Wiltshire places 3rd in 200
STORM LAKE - NIACC's Romanica Wiltshire placed third in the 200-meter dash Friday night at the NJCAA Region 11 indoor track and field championships on the Buena Vista campus.
Wiltshire earned her third-place finish in a time of 25.85 seconds. NIACC's Addison Adam was sixth in a time of 26.71 and Abby Chapman was eighth in 26.94.
It was the second straight meet that Wiltshire broke 26 seconds in the 200. She set the school record in a time of 25.51 a the SDSU Indoor Classic on Feb. 14.
Wiltshire also qualified for the 60-meter finals in a time of 7.66 in Friday's prelims. Adam also qualified for the finals in a time of 7.93, which ranks third on the school's all-time list.
In the 60-meter hurdles prelims, Kiara Colton-Spearman qualified for the finals in a time of 9.85, which ranks third on the school's all-time list.
In the weight throw, NIACC's Breanna Swaby placed seventh with a toss of 13.24 meters (43 feet, 5 1/4 inches). Kayla Buscher was eighth with a toss of 12.04 meters (39-6) and Hannah Brinkman was ninth with a throw of 11.00 meters (36-1 1/4).
