Wiltshire records 2nd fastest 100 in school history
PELLA - Freshman Romanica Wiltshire recorded the second fastest 100-meter dash time in NIACC women's track and field history on Saturday at the Central College Invitational.
Wiltshire, who is from Bridgetown, Barbados, clocked a time of 12.18 seconds in the prelims to qualify for the finals. Wiltshire did not run in the finals.
The school record in the 100 is 12.08 by Adrine Monagi at the NJCAA national championships on May 14, 2015.
In the 100-meter hurdles prelims, NIACC's Kiara Colton-Spearman recorded a time of 16.32, which ranks third on the school's all-time list.
In the 200, NIACC's Addison Adam placed 25th in a time of 26.45, which ranks fourth on the school's all-time outdoor list.
In the discus, NIACC's Breanna Swaby placed 13th with a toss of 35.85 meters (117 feet, 7 inches), which ranks sixth on the school's all-time list.
In the hammer throw, Swaby placed 26th with a toss of 37.49 meters (123-0), which ranks ninth on the school's all-time list.
