NIACC men ranked 11th in preseason poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team is ranked 11th in the NJCAA Division II poll released Tuesday.
Kirkwood is ranked No. 1, Iowa Lakes is ranked No. 7 and DMACC is 15th.
NIACC, which was 25-7 last season and advanced to the NJCAA Region XI title game for the second straight season, opens the season Wednesday at Iowa Central. The Trojans host DMACC on Saturday.
NIACC returns six sophomores from last year's team. The returners for the Trojans are McKelary Robertson, Marshaun Carroll, Jaden Horton, Payton Breedlove, Blake Graham and Mike Cranshaw.
