NIACC men fall to Iowa Western, 82-78
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped a 82-78 decision to Iowa Western Saturday afternoon in the NIACC gym.
Iowa Western led 37-30 at the half. NIACC outscored the Reivers 48-45 in the second half but still fell by four points.
Marcedes Leech Jr. led Iowa Western with 23 points. Dewayne Vass was next in line for the Reivers with 14 points.
NIACC was led by sophomore guard McKelary Robertson with 16 points. Freshmen Bradley Andrews and Noah Rigatuso both scored 10 points.
Rigatuso led NIACC with 12 rebounds.
Rigatuso's double/double was the first for the Trojans since Trey Sampson (20 points/14 rebounds), Wendell Matthews (17 points/10 rebounds) and Chandler Dean (13 points/10 rebounds) all recorded double/doubles against Southwestern on March 3, 2020.
