MASON CITY - The NIACC men's soccer team improved to 3-0-1 Monday with a 2-0 non-conference victory over St. Charles CC on the NIACC campus.
NIACC scored two goals in the second half to gain the 2-goal victory.
The Trojans received a goal from Noah Ruiz in the 72nd minute to take a 1-0 lead. Ruiz received an assist from Bruno Ortega Peris
NIACC doubled its lead in the 89th minute on a goal from Kobi Jones on an assist from Ruiz.
NIACC returns to action Friday in a non-league match at Johnson County CC in Overland Park, Kan. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
