MASON CITY - The NIACC men's soccer team and No. 18 Central CC-Columbus battled to a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon in an ICCAC contest on the NIACC campus.
Central CC-Columbus led 1-0 at the half on a goal in the 25th minute by Harvey Brook, but the Trojans tied the contest at 1-1 with an unassisted goal by sophomore Harry Twinn in the 73rd minute.
Neither team scored in the final 17 minutes. NIACC is now 6-2-2 overall and 1-1-1 in league play and Central CC-Columbus is 5-4-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the ICCAC.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC match at Western Iowa Tech (2-6-1, 0-2-1). Match time in Sioux City is slated for 3:30 p.m.
