SPENCER - The NIACC men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to No. 5 Iowa Lakes on Saturday in an ICCAC contest.
Iowa Lakes (4-3-2 overall, 1-0 in ICCAC) led 2-0 at the half and held on for the 1-goal victory in the league opener for both squads.
NIACC (5-2-1, 0-1) scored its lone goal in the 49th minute from Stanley Fovargue on assists from Maximilian Torres and Kobi Jones.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home against Northwest Iowa CC in an ICCAC contest starting at 3:30 p.m.
