Iowa Western stops NIACC, 37-7
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's wrestling team dropped a 37-7 decision to No. 15 Iowa Western Wednesday in an ICCAC dual meet in the NIACC recreation center.
Iowa Western won seven of the nine contested bouts.
NIACC (2-2 overall in duals, 2-2 in the ICCAC) picked up wins from Cory Scanlan at 157 pounds and Nicky Bernard at 184 pounds.
At 157 pounds, Scanlan (10-4) gained a 13-2 major decision over the Reivers' ninth-ranked Cole Fenwick.
At 184 pounds, Bernard (11-4) topped the Reivers' Cal Wells 7-3.
