Trojans roll to 48-10 dual victory
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's wrestling team picked up a 48-10 dual meet victory over Ellsworth Thursday night in the NIACC recreation center.
NIACC (3-2 in duals) picked up three wins (all by fall) and five forfeits in Thursday's dual victory. Winning by fall for the Trojans were Chris Williams (141 pounds), Cory Scanlan (157) and Corbin Hill (197).
At 141 pounds, Williams (11-3) pinned the Panthers' Gabe Brazzei in 53 seconds. It was Williams' fourth fall of the 2025-26 season.
At 157 pounds, Scanlan (12-6) stuck Ellsworth's Nick Fischer in 2:41 for his first fall of the season.
At 197 pounds, Hill (4-6) pinned Jiraiya Fonseca in :52. All four of Hill's wins this season have been by fall.
NIACC returns to action Jan. 28 in an ICCAC dual meet at Hawkeye CC. Match time in Waterloo is slated for 7 p.m.
