Trojans fall to Marshalltown CC, 18-7
MASON CITY - The NIACC baseball team dropped a 18-7 decision to Marshalltown CC in an ICCAC contest Sunday afternoon at Roosevelt Field.
Marshalltown CC scored at least one run in five of its seven at-bats. The Tigers scored five runs in the first inning and also plated six runs in the second inning.
NIACC sophomore catcher Jacob Neutz hit two home runs and drove in three runs. Neutz now has 13 home runs this season.
The Trojans' Minchan Kim and Hunter Sandberg also collected RBIs in Sunday's contest.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home in a league twinbill against Iowa Lakes. The first game is slated to start at 1 p.m.
