No. 7 NIACC stops No. 20 Iowa Lakes, 34-12
ESTHERVILLE - The No, 7 NIACC wrestling team topped No. 20 Iowa Lakes Wednesday night in an ICCAC dual.
NIACC picked up a pin from Deville Dentis at 149 pounds and technical falls from Quentrevion Campbell (141) and Ryan Van Donselaar (157).
In a battle of rated wrestlers at 197 pounds, NIACC's second-ranked Jose Valdez edged the Lakers' ninth-ranked assoma Endene, 2-1.
The Trojans also gained wins from Quentrevion Campbell at 141 pounds, Ryan Van Donselaar at 165 pounds and Chase McCleish at 184 pounds. Cruz Aguilar (125) and Connor Wiemann (133) gained forfeit victories.
NIACC returns to action next Thursday at home against Ellsworth. Match time is slated for 7 p.m. in the NIACC Recreation Center.
