NIACC's Campbell selected as ICCAC wrestler of week
MASON CITY - NIACC's Quentrevion Campbell was selected as the ICCAC wrestler of the week for the week of Jan. 24-31.
Campbell, who is unranked at 141 pounds, pinned Iowa Western's fifth-ranked Creighton Baughman in 2:00 in a dual meet in Council Bluffs on Feb. 2.
It is the fourth time this season a NIACC wrestler has won the ICCAC weekly award. The Trojans' Christian Minto won the award twice (for weeks of Dec. 6-12 and Jan. 24-30) and Jose Valdez was the weekly award winner for the week of Jan. 3-9.
Campbell is 8-0 this season with three pins, one technical fall and three major decisions.
No. 7 NIACC wraps up its regular season with a dual meet at No. 16 RCTC. The dual meet starts at 6 p.m. in Rochester, Minn.
After the dual against RCTC, the Trojans will compete in the NJCAA North Central District meet in Centerville on Sunday.
