NIACC's Brown, Jackson will wrestle for 7th
COUNCIL BLUFFS - NIACC's Olivia Brown and Kenzi Jackson both dropped consolation semifinal matches Saturday morning at the NJCAA Invitational at the Mid-America Center.
At 138 pounds, Inaily Samaniego of Snow pinned Brown in 2 minutes, 22 seconds.
Brown (13-10) will face Iowa Central's Destiny Krum in the seventh-place match at 138 pounds Saturday afternoon. This will be the first meeting this season between the two wrestlers.
At 207 pounds, Iowa Central's Harmoni Callins pinned Jackson in 1:28.
Jackson (15-8) takes on Indian Hills' Wyntergale Oxendine in the seventh-place match at 207 pounds Saturday afternoon. This will be the first meeting this season between the two wrestlers.
Brown and Jackson are the Trojans' sixth and seventh all-Americans in the sport of women's wrestling.
