NIACC's Jackson, Brown earn all-American honors
COUNCIL BLUFFS - Kenzi Jackson and Olivia Brown added their names to the list of NIACC women's wrestling all-Americans.
Jackson placed seventh at 207 pounds and Brown placed eighth at 138 pounds Saturday at the NJCAA Invitational at the Mid-America Center. Brown and Jackson are the Trojans' sixth and seventh all-Americans in the sport of women's wrestling.
Jackson (16-8) won her seventh-place match at 207 pounds by no contest over Indian Hills' Wyntergale Oxendine. Iowa Central's Harmoni Callins pinned Jackson in 1:28 in the consolation semifinal match.
At 138 pounds, Iowa Central's Destiny Krum pinned Brown in 5 minutes, 15 seconds in the seventh-place match. Inaily Samaniego of Snow pinned Brown (13-11) in 2:22 in the consolation semifinal contest.
NIACC placed 13th with 39.5 points.
