Trojans fall to Southeast CC, 102-93
LINCOLN, Neb. - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped a 102-93 decision to Southeast CC on Saturday afternoon in a non-league contest.
Southeast CC, which trailed 48-46 at the half, outscored the Trojans 56-45 in the second 20 minutes to claim the nine-point victory. With the win, Southeast CC improved to 4-5 overall.
Sophomore Jacob Martin led the Trojans with 25 points. It was the fourth time this season that Martin has scored at least 20 points in a contest.
Freshman TJ Cusciotta was next in line for the Trojans with 18 points.
Also for the Trojans, freshman Jordan Terhune scored a career-high 11 points and sophomore Cameron Reigard and freshman Kam'ron Solomon both scored 10 points.
NIACC sophomore Joseph Fitch scored seven points and grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds.
NIACC connected on 13 3-point goals in Saturday's contest. Martin made four 3-point goals and Reigard, Cusciotta and Solomon all made two 3-point goals.
It was the third time this season that the Trojans made at least 10 3-point goals in a game. The Trojans' season high for 3-pointers in a game was 16 against Moraine Valley CC on Nov. 8.
NIACC (7-2 overall, 1-0 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday at home against Kirkwood in an ICCAC contest in the NIACC gym. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
