No. 9 NIACC women roll past Marshalltown CC, 91-38
MASON CITY - The No. 9 NIACC women's basketball team cruised to a 91-38 victory over Marshalltown CC Saturday at the Konigsmark Klassic.
NIACC, whic nipped No. 5 Illinois Central 82-81 on Friday, was led by freshman Sierra Morrow, who recorded a triple-double with 23 points, 13 blocked shots and 12 rebounds.
NIACC, which led 23-1 after the first quarter, also received 18 points from freshman Sydney Wetlaufer and 10 points from Shinaana Secody. Sophomore Kelcie Hale scored seven points with 10 assists, eight rebounds and three steals.
NIACC connected on 16 3-point goals for the second time this season. Wetlaufer made four 3-point goals and Andrea Gray and Abby Leach both connected on three 3-point goals.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home against Iowa Western.
