No. 3 NIACC women win league opener, 96-78
CRESTON - The No. 3 NIACC women's basketball team opened ICCAC play Wednesday with a 96-78 victory over Southwestern.
NIACC improved its overall record to 10-0 and is off to its best start since the 2013-14 team started 12-0.
NIACC led 46-35 at the half and pushed its lead to 73-52 after three quarters.
Freshman Sierra Lynch led the Lady Trojans with 23 points. Freshman Sierra Morrow scored 22 points and sophomore Kelcie Hale scored 16 points.
NIACC returns to action Friday and Saturday at the John Wood Classic in Quincy, Ill. The Lady Trojans face John Wood CC at 7 p.m. on Friday and face Lincoln Land CC at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
