NIACC women's track and field team ranked 18th
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's track and field team moved up a spot to 18th in the USTFCCCA NJCAA Division I poll released on Wednesday.
Cloud County CC is ranked No. 1. Iowa Central is ranked third and Iowa Western is ranked fifth.
Other ICCAC teams in the national rankings are Indian Hills (8th), Hawkeye CC (7th), Southwestern (19th) and Southeastern (24th).
NIACC freshman Sarah Bertry qualified for the NJCAA Division I national meet in the 1,000-meter run at the Waldorf Warrick Invitational on Feb. 6 in Humboldt in a time of 3 minutes, 10.63 seconds, which currently ranks seventh in the nation.
NIACC returns to action Saturday at the Waldorf Winter Invitational at the Humboldt Recreation Center in Humboldt. The meet starts at 3:45 p.m.
