NIACC's Bertry places 10th in 1,500
LEVELLAND, Texas - NIACC freshman Sarah Bertry placed 10th in the 1,500 finals Thursday at the NJCAA Division I national track and field championships.
Bertry covered the 1,500 meters in a personal best time of 4 minutes, 57.02 seconds, which ranks second on NIACC's all-time best list.
Hannah Palmeter owns NIACC's school record in the 1,500 in a time of 4:37.32 and Emma Davison now ranks third (4:58.58) in 2019.
Bertry qualified for the finals on Wednesday in a time of 4:59.29.
New Mexico JC's Asekol Flomena won the 1,500 Thursday in a time of 4:38.95 and Iowa Western's Faith Linga was second (4:41.14).
