NIACC wins 3 events at Warrick Invitational
HUMBOLDT - The NIACC men's track and field team won three events at the Waldorf Warrick Invitational Saturday at the Humboldt Recreation Center.
NIACC's Titus Jackson won the 400-meter dash in a time of 52.21 seconds. The Trojans' Pudens Kipkosgei won the 1,000 in 2:44.38.
The Trojans also won the distance medley relay (12:17.25). Running for the Trojans were Kiplosgei, Bryden Juelsgaard, John Hunt and Stephen Ringo.
Also in the 400 for NIACC, Gavin Reicks was fifth (53.96) and Maxwell Deeter was 15th (57.78).
Also in the 1,000, Melvin Kipkemboi was second in 2:44.99, Janvier Irakoze was third in 2:49.78 and Ringo was sixth (3:02.82).
In the high jump, NIACC's Marcel Smith was fourth with a jump of 1.86 meters (6 feet, 1 inch).
NIACC's Kameron Glasper was eighth in the shot put (12.10 meters) and eighth in the weight throw (12.33 meters). The Trojans' Randry Mugisha was 13th in the weight throw (10.64 meters).
In the 200, Reicks was 10th (24.95), Smith was 12th (25.00) and Mugisha was 20th (25.80).
In the 800, Ellis Regan was 15th (2:16.85).
NIACC's Titus Jackson, Hunt, Angelo Jackson and Walker Sobolik placed fourth in the 4x400-meter relay (3:39.70). The Trojans' Juelsgaard, Regan, Deeter and Kipkosgei placed seventh (3:50.87).
