NIACC's Redden places third in 60 at Spartan Invite
DUBUQUE - NIACC's Sanchez Redden placed third in the 60-meter dash Saturday at the University of Dubuque Spartan Invitational.
Redden, a freshman, clocked a 6.95 seconds in the finals to earn his third-place finish. Redden also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.30.
NIACC's Titus Jackson and Melvin Kipkemboi both picked up fourth-place finishes. Jackson placed fourth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 51.21 seconds and Kipkemboi was fourth in the 3,000-meter run in 8:52.50.
NIACC's Bernard Bell was eighth in the 200 (23.34) ad ninth in the 400 (52.39).
Also for the Trojans, Christian Rodriguez was sixth in the 800 (2:05.36) and John Hunt was eighth in the 800 (2:07.37). Daqwan Sanders placed sixth in the 60 hurdles in a time of 9.62 and was sixth in the high jump with a leap of 6 feet, 1 1.4 inches.
The Trojans' Richard Marcoux placed 10th in the mile run in a time of 4:41.25.
