NIACC's Sanders earns 2 top-5 finishes at Viking Classic
DES MOINES - NIACC freshman Daqwan Sanders picked up a pair of top-five finishes Friday at the Grand View Viking Classic.
Sanders placed fourth in the high jump with a leap of 6 feet, 0 3/4 inches. He was also fifth in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.90 seconds.
Also for the Trojans on Friday, Randry Mugisha wa third in the javelin (141-7). Richard Marcoux was seventh in the 800 (2:02.81) and Perez Hemmings was seventh in the 110 hurdles (16.17).
NIACC won the 4x100-meter relay in a time of 42.09 running Michael Moore-Fondren, Tinashe Chigudu, Titus Jackson and Bernard Bell.
