NIACC's Chigudu wins 60 at SDSU Indoor Classic
BROOKINGS, S.D. - NIACC sophomore Tinashe Chigudu won the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.81 seconds Saturday at the South Dakota State University Indoor Classic.
Chigudu qualified for the finals in a time of 6.86 and lowered his time in the finals. Iowa Western's Rosean Young was second in the 60 finals in a time of 6.90.
Also the Trojans on Saturday, Melvin Kipkemboi qualified for the NJCAA Division I national indoor meet in the mile with his 27th place finish in a time of 4:21.77.
NIACC's Kameron Glasper was 17th in the shot put (45-4 1/2) and 24th in the weight throw (44-10 1/4). The Trojans' Marcel Smith tied for 17th in the high jump with a leap of 6-1.
NIACC's Randry Mugisha was 33rd in the weight throw (38-2 1/4) and 30th in the shot put (37-2 1/2).
In the 600, NIACC's Zachary Glaeser was 24th in a time of 1:31.99.
In the 800, NIACC's Christian Rodriguez was 26th in a time of 2:01.84 and Richard Marcoux was 31st (2:03.93).
In the 200, the Trojans' Sanchez Redden was 32nd in 22.85.
