NIACC's Kipkemboi wins 5K at Ted Nelson Classic
MANKATO, Minn. - NIACC's Melvin Kipkemboi won the 5,000-meter run Saturday at the Minnesota State Ted Nelson Classic.
Kipkemboi won the event in a time of 15 minutes, 15.70 seconds. Minnesota State's Jacob Bennett was a distant second in a time of 15:29.20.
Also for the Trojans, Sanchez Redden was fifth in the 60-meter dash (7.00 seconds) and was ninth in the 200 (23.04). Bernard Bell was seventh in the 200 in a time of 22.84.
NIACC's Christian Rodriguez was ninth in the 800 (2:02.46). Matthew Seberson was ninth in the long jump with a leap of 6.33 meters and 13th in the triple jump (11.76 meters).
NIACC's Zachary Graeser was 11th in the 600 (1:33.76). Kameron Glasper was 15th in the shot put (12.90 meters).
