Roske leads NIACC JV at Storm Spring Classic
INDIANOLA - NIACC sophomore Ian Roske shot a season-best round of 76 on Wednesday to lead the NIACC men's junior varsity team at the Simpson Storm Spring Classic.
NIACC tied for 10th in the team standings with a team score of 324. North Central Missouri and host Simpson shared the team title with team scores of 296 and Coe College was third with a 298.
"The guys had a nice day to play (Wednesday) even though we had a rain delay with about two holes left," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said. "Ian Roske had a solid performance with a 76.
"He did a nice job of managing the golf course. Indianola CC is definitely a course that can't get out of position or it'll make you pay."
Also for the Trojans on Wednesday, freshman Noah Honn shot 80, sophomore Kyler Glenn shot 80, sophomore Drew DeGabriele shot 81, freshman Cade Dillavou shot 87 and sophomore Gavin Anderson shot 91.
"Noah Honn and Kyler Glenn hung in there pretty decent, but none of the others were real happy with how they played (Wednesday)," Frenz said.
