No. 4 Trojans force Game 3 at North Plains tournament
MASON CITY - The No. 4 NIACC baseball team stayed alive.
NIACC topped Dakota County Technical College 15-8 in Game 2 of the best of three series Saturday after dropping the opener 11-6.
A winner take all Game 3 is set for noon on Sunday at Roosevelt Stadium with the winner advancing to the NJCAA Division II World Series in Enid, Okla. May 28-June 4.
In Saturday's second game, NIACC received a pair of home runs and four RBIs from sophomore Robbie Glendinning and a solo home run from sophomore Jonathan Cruz.
The Trojans made a winner of out Dan Loats, who picked up his 11th win this season. Loats pitched seven innings allowing seven runs on 11 hits with four strikeouts and two walks.
