NIACC baseball team moves to 7th in NJCAA Division II poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC baseball team moved up to No. 7 in the NJCAA Division II poll released Wednesday.
The Trojans were ranked 10th in the May 3 poll.
NIACC (41-13) opens play in the NJCAA Region XI tournament at 7 p.m. Thursday in Waterloo against Southwestern. The Trojans, who have qualified for the NJCAA Division II World Series, two of the last three years, enter the regional tournament as the No. 2 seed.
Third-seed Kirkwood (34-18) is ranked 18th. Top-seed Southeastern CC (38-18) is not ranked.
