ST. PAUL — No. 14 NIACC fell in a pair of nonconference games to Century College Wednesday, 5-3 and 12-7.
The Trojans' offense finished the day with 20 strikeouts in the two games. Century pitcher Ryan Schlosser struck out 13 in the opener.
"We faced a pretty good arm the first game," NIACC coach Travis Hergert said. "We got ourselves in bad counts and couldn't get out."
NIACC's Troy Bullingham homered in each game and drove in six runs for the afternoon. Malique Ziegler had three hits in the opener and added two more in the nightcap and Austin LaDoux drove in a pair of runs in Game 2.
NIACC (21-11) travels to Southwestern for a four-game series this weekend.
