3 NIACC baseball players sign with NCAA schools today
MASON CITY - Three NIACC baseball players signed national letters of intents today to play at NCAA Division I and II schools in the 2017 seasons.
Sophomore shortstop Robbie Glendinning will sign with the University of Missouri, which is a member of the Southeastern Conference. Sophomore pitcher Dan Loats will sign with UNC-Greensboro, which is a member of the Southern Conference. Sophomore Austin LaDoux will sign with Grand Valley State, which is a NCAA Division II school and is a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
All three NIACC sophomores played integral parts in leading the Trojans to the NJCAA Division II World Series for the second time in three years.
Glendinning hit .412 with 27 doubles, eight home runs and drove in 54 runs as a freshman. Glendinning was a second-team NJCAA Division II all-American.
Loats was 4-5 with 56 strikeouts, 26 walks and a 3.97 during his freshman season.
LaDoux hit .301 with seven doubles, 12 home runs and 53 RBIs as a freshman.
