NIACC's Bullingham is ICCAC player of the week
MASON CITY – NIACC sophomore outfielder Troy Bullingham has been selected as the ICCAC player of the week for the week of April 11-17.
In six games last week, Bullingham hit .565 with five home runs, three doubles and 18 RBIs as the Trojans went 4-2, including a four-game ICCAC sweep of Southwestern.
In the Southwestern series, Bullingham hit three home runs with three doubles and 12 RBIs.
Bullingham is hitting .427 and is seventh in NJCAA Division II with 50 RBIs and 12th in NJCAA Division II with 10 home runs.
Bullingham is tied for second with Justin Johnson (2005-06) on NIACC's career RBI list with 108. He ranks fourth on the school's career home run list with 18, ranks fifth on career hit list with 127 and is tied for ninth with Danny Reed (2005-06) on career doubles list with 27.
Bullingham is the fourth NIACC player to be earn ICCAC player of the week honors this season. Other Trojans honored were shortstop Robbie Glendinning (March 28-April 3) and pitchers Derek Lieurance (Feb. 15-21) and Dan Loats (April 4-10).
No. 14 NIACC (25-12 overall, 12-4 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday in a nonconference doubleheader at Dakota County Technical College. The Trojans host No. 9 Iowa Central (20-8, 9-7) in four-game conference series Saturday and Sunday at Roosevelt Stadium.
